    Position Overview

    IMT is hiring a temporary Payroll Specialist to provide support to the payroll department for approximately 6 months.  Reporting to the Assistant Controller and working with the Payroll Staff Accountant, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for timely and accurate payroll processing and record-keeping. 

    • Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 600 associates in 7 states in compliance with IMT policies and federal and state regulations
    • Review and verify payroll data in a timely manner, calculates overtime and other pay premiums, and enter payroll data
    • Process transactions such as new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposit
    • Oversee maintenance of payroll records and files including but not limited to paid time off and other accrued leaves
    • Respond to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions and accruals, wage garnishments, child support payments and employment verifications
    • Assist with the development and implementation of payroll practices, policies, and procedures
    • Assist with special projects

    Please apply if you have:

    • Multi-state payroll experience
    • Current knowledge of federal and state legislation and regulations that affect payroll
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
    • Professional verbal and written communication skills and presentation
    • Customer service focused, personable and approachable
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
    • Process improvement mindset to improve efficiency

    It is a plus if you also have:

    • Ceridian Dayforce experience
    • Accounting and/or payroll education
    • The ability to speak Spanish
