    Position Overview

    Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day accounting for IMT Capital's group of complex multi-tier investment partnerships and private REITs. 

    • Maintain books and records in accordance with department policies and procedures and GAAP
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual combined and consolidated financial statements
    • Assist with tracking capital account activity, and preparation of capital call and distribution notices and capital account statements
    • Reconcile and analyze account balances, prepare and post journal entries, and promptly research and correct any variances
    • Prepare periodic check requests
    • Code and post various credit card/pcard statements and employee expenses
    • Calculate and record fees and allocations
    • Prepare audit and tax packages, confirmations, compliance reports, ad-hoc financial statements and other reports
    • Identify exceptions and problems affecting accounting records, communicate same to management, and assist in their resolution
    • Participate in special projects, including process improvements
    • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the accounting systems
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Please apply if you have:

    • Related work experience, preferably including public accounting
    • Knowledge of GAAP
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting
    • Analytical, quantitative and organizational skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication including the ability to effectively present information in a clear, concise manner
    • Attention to detail and high accuracy
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly grasp issues and understand strategy
    • Adept at working with management to facilitate change, implement strategy and accomplish objectives
    • Interpersonal relations including professionalism, confidentiality and diplomacy
    • The ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities with a drive to achieve results and meet deadlines
    • Ability to work independently and to use good judgment in decision making
    • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

    It is a plus if you also have:

    • A CPA license
    • Fund/REIT/Real estate industry accounting experience
