Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst position is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong accounting background, analytical skills, and experience working with a multi-site portfolio to join our Financial Reporting team within the accounting department.  Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, you will prepare and analyze property financial statements for a portfolio of apartment communities consisting of approximately 15 properties/5,000 units.

  • Prepare property financial statements
  • Review, analyze, and report on trend and budget variances
  • Maintain balance sheet schedules
  • Submit financial information to loan servicers
  • Prepare high-quality quarterly variance analysis on portfolios
  • Prepare key performance indicator reports
  • Assist in annual budget preparation
  • Interface with senior management, community managers and regional managers on an ongoing basis for all financial matters and issues affecting the financial performance of the properties

Please apply if you have:

  • 3+ years multi-site portfolio accounting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP
  • Real estate experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA or CMA designation preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.)
  • MRI software skills a plus
  • Strong work ethic
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically
